FORWARD@14 Virtual Workshops and Resource Fair

Is your special needs child ready to move forward? Forward@14 is a series of free workshops designed to introduce and explore important issues in transitioning beyond high school. Youth, parents, and community members, guided by experienced family liaisons, will learn together and have opportunities to practice and reflect on relevant topics.

Lujan Cabin Fundraiser

This year, we’re ready to focus on the farm program. We are truly excited and thankful that Shelly Cross, owner of the Lujan Homestead Cabin, has offered us the opportunity to purchase the cabin for our program. Learn more and donate on our Go Fund Me page!

Ranch Camp!

May 29, 2021  This new camp format for kids 6 to 16 runs 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with activities at both The Gifted Horse Barn and right next door at the newly acquired Historical Lujan Cabin!

Camp Activities:

  • Daily horseback riding lessons

  • Homesteading and Ranch Schooling- History and Etiquette

  • Fiber Arts- Spinning and Knitting Yarn (demonstration and optional lesson)

  • Signs and Stones (painting and etching art)

  • Earth and Crop Science (take home plant)

  • Dairy Goat Class- Goat Care (feeding, grooming, washing), Milking and Milk Stars (certificate), and Goat Showmanship (dress in a white shirt if you have one)

  • Camp t-shirt and Flag (painting)

  • Ranch Day Celebration

Dates of the camps:

  • June 28- 30

  • July 7- 9

  • July 12- 14

  • July 19- 21

  • July 26- 28
